ORDER TIMELINE (Processing Time)
Our company normally processes all orders within 5-7 business days once payment has cleared, except for beaded curtains which have a processing time of 7-10 business days. Oftentimes, orders process faster than that but we can’t guarantee a faster processing time.
Made to Order vs. Pre-Made
Check a listing carefully to understand if a product is pre-made and ready to ship or if the product is ordered before it’s handmade (made-to-order).
Both are handmade but the pre-made is shipment ready while the made-to-order products take up to six weeks to be created for you.

The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being 100% handmade to order.
Care for your new Suncatcher(s) by:
We make our suncatchers/windchimes/door ornaments to last for years. They can be hung inside or outside. If hung outside, be sure the hanger that is attached to the wall or whatever structure the art piece will hang from is strong enough and secured well to that structure. Be sure the ornament does not strike against a wall, tree, etc. in the wind. If hung outside, please bring inside during severe weather. If hung inside, keep out of the reach of pets and children. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth.
Your Suncatchers can be damaged if:
* The piece strikes against a wall, tree, etc in high wind.
* The piece is struck by hail.
* A child or pet pulls on, tugs on, hangs from, or otherwise is rough with the art piece.
*The piece is cleaned with detergents, soap or very hot water.
*The piece is washed in a dishwasher.
Care for your new Beadwork jewelry or bag(s) by:
Treating the piece carefully as you would any fine piece of jewelry. These are not toys and so are not recommended for small children. Store each piece in the small box it came in or wrapped in tissue separately in other jewelry box to prevent it becoming entangled with other items. To clean, wipe gently with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or soap, hot water, or jewelry cleaners.
Your Jewelry & Amulet Bags can be damaged if:
*Too much pressure is applied to the jewelry/amulet bag or the jewelry/amulet bag is treated roughly.
*If the bead work is cleaned with detergents, soap or very hot water.
**The piece is washed in a dishwasher or jewelry washer.
Weight and dimensions of the SUN CATCHERS varies depending on the size of the piece of wood, the number of beads, the size of the crystals, etc. The dimensions for each piece is in the description. None of the Sun Catchers & Wind Chimes weighs more than 2 pounds.
Dimensions of the BEADED BIRD NECKLACES varies with each piece but average approximately 12-3/4 inches long from center of clasp to tip of tail. The birds themselves average 4 inches tall and 3-5 inches wide. They are surprisingly light weight. Actual weight varies with each bird but averages approximately 2 ounces.
Dimensions of the AMULET BAGS varies with each piece. The dimensions for each piece is in the description.
We always love creating new products from scratch. Please contact us for a quote. Custom orders can have a lengthier processing time. Ask us for details.
We normally ship all orders for ready to ship products within 5-7 business days after payment has been finalized with the exception of Beaded Curtains which have a 7-10 day processing time. Custom made to order products are shipped as soon as they are completed. We ship either First Class via USPS for orders under 13 ounces or Priority USPS for orders over 13 ounces. Shipping addresses within the U.S. should receive their order within 3-10 business days after it is mailed (But due to COVID-19, mail delivery may be delayed.) If you want it faster, send us a message and we will try to work with you. Immediately upon shipping you will receive an email letting you know your purchase has been shipped. You will be able to track your order so you will know exactly when it will arrive at your door. We do combine shipping on orders of multiple items to a single address and will refund overages on shipping costs.
We happily support and love our international customers. We ship all International products through USPS Priority International.
Due to COVID-19, international shipments may take longer to arrive. This is beyond our control.
Joelaine and DesignedByJoelaine is not responsible for duty or brokerage fees for international shipping. These charges come from your country during importation of your package.
Shipping Cost Calculations
We do our best to apply fair shipping costs to each order.
* Shipping costs are calculated automatically during checkout.
* We offer free US shipping for orders over $75.
* We offer free shipping internationally on all orders over $300.
Selecting expedited shipping during checkout does not ensure a faster processing time. Your product may still need up to six weeks to be handmade depending on the item ordered.
We gladly accept returns and cancellations.
-Contact us within 14 days of delivery.
-Ship items back to us within 21 days of delivery. If 21 days have gone by since you received the item, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
-Request a cancellation within 24 hours of purchase.
We offer three return options:
1. Return the item to us for a full refund (shipping costs are not refundable).
2. Return the original item to us in exchange for a new item.
3. Keep the damaged item and receive a partial refund (shipping costs are not refundable).
The following items can’t be returned or exchanged. Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we do not accept returns for:
-Custom or personalized orders
Conditions of return:
-Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs but we will provide a discount of equal value to the shipping cost on the buyer’s next purchase.
-If returned item is not in its original condition when we receive it, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
-We may request photographs of damaged products and damaged packaging to process a claim with the shipper and for insurance purposes.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

We only exchange items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item contact us.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item (particularly during the COVID19 pandemic).
